Benchmarking

FPU test

SuperPI

SuperPI is a good test of system stability and also the arithmetic power of the system.

All systems are running in Async DDR333 mode except Shuttle SN41G2 and EPoX 8RDA+ in Sync DDR266 Dual Channel (2 x 256M). The FSB of the various boards are :

SiS 746FX Ref board : 134.6Mhz
Shuttle SN41G2 : 133.64Mhz
EPoX 8RDA+ : 133.64Mhz
ABIT KD7 : 133.39Mhz
ECS K7S7AG : 133.34Mhz

For SuperPI, the faster (secs) to complete the test, the faster the system. In the chart, the ABIT KD7 and ECS K7S7AG took 58secs to complete the test while the Shuttle SN41G2 and EPoX 8RDA+ are definitely better, scoring a low of 55 secs. The SiS 746FX finishes at 55 seconds when we run it in Async DDR400 mode.
