Siemens S65 Triband GSM 900/1800/1900 Camera Phone with
RS-MMC Review (5)
S65 video run through
Conclusion The Siemens S65 is more of an executive phone than a fashion phone. Built for the busy executive in mind, it has messaging and calendaring features that allows one to retrieve mails via GPRS without much configuration. The phone also comes with a good screen that allows you to read WAP sites with ease. The ringtone is exceptionally loud and is comparable to the Samsung. The only difference is the MIDI sounds a bit too digital. MP3 playback / ringtone is not supported on this phone but you can use WAV file as a ringtone. The built-in camera allows you to take high resolution photos. There are 5x digital zoom but doesn't include night shots capability. The images are considered of good quality which we feel that it could be better esp in the colour saturation. There is also a video recording capability built in recording in 3GP format. In SMS mode, there isn't much lag in the entering of text. It is also good to be able to enter Chinese text without the need to configure the phone into Chinese. Bluetooth is built in for connecting with other devices. I used it with the A835 and ASUS PDA to transfer in/out WAV, JAVA and JPEG files. Whatever being transferred is sent into the INBOX and you can decide to click to install or save the file to the respective folders created. The phone also comes with RS-MMC slot so that you can store your games etc into the RS-MMC Card. Overall, a well built phone with a super strong vibration alert + ringtone. I like the ease of transferring files using IrDA or Bluetooth. This phone will be available in Sept 2004. Pros :
