Samsung SGH-P730C TriBand Megapixel Camera Phone (5)
Bluetooth

Conclusion

The Samsung SGH-P730C is an interesting phone which bridges phone/camera/camcorder all into one. Although most phones offer camera or mpeg4 recording functions, they are nowhere near the quality of MPEG4 movie which are recorded from this unit. SGH-P730C also comes with a MP3 player and RS-MMC external memory storage. This is definitely an improvement over previous designs that lack these options. It is a pity that we can't have MP3 as ringtones. Furthermore, we are now talking about having AAC which this phone do not support.

Data transfer using EasyGPRS II via provided cable is fast and smooth. Bluetooth is again missing from this phone which makes the phone incomplete. As for Java midlets, I am afraid to say that you have to host it somewhere or download it using GPRS.

Overall, I find this phone a bit pricey. If you need a phone that can serve the basic purpose of imaging and videos, I think this phone is worth a consideration despite its lack of bluetooth. If these functions are to integrated into the D500C. It will definitely be a true winner.
