OCWorkbench - LG KG920
GSM 900/1800/1900 5 mpixel Camera Mobile Phone Review 9/9
Conclusion LG is definitely making waves in Asian market with the introduction of the first 5 megapixel camera phone. Thoughout the days of tests, the LG KG920 seems to be a pretty good camera and phone integrated into one. In fact, we are quite happy as it has answered most of my needs other than WIFI and FM Radio. The miniSD, USB and bluetooth feature is definitely something that is useful for multimedia needs. Although it is feature packed, the settings for the camera remains a challenge for first time users. In my first experience with it, I was unable to find the options to change settings of the camera. Secondly, T9 input for english text word prediction, you would have to press the arrow keys instead of the # sign. Ringtones wise, it is quite loud. The only regret is SMS message tone can't be changed. The default ones are pretty soft and I missed some messages along the way. Comparing the images taken using the LG KG920 versus my own Nikon 4300. The most apparent difference is the colour saturation on the LG KG920. If you do a comparison, you can see the colours are more natural on the KG920. The image quality is also better considering that it is a 5 megapixel. Overall, the phone is definitely a good camera phone if you intend to find a replacement of both your Digital camera and mobile phone. In terms of design, I would prefer a black colour design. LG also throw in an extra battery which you can charge it seperately. That is very useful for prolong photo or video taking. Battery life is pretty amazing as I can use it for 3 days with moderate photo taking and making calls like 15 mins a day. Pros :
