ASUS EN7600GT Graphics card Review Benchmarks 9/9

Conclusion (Pricing)
ASUS never surprises us as one of the early adopters of new graphics cores. Although there are many makers out there, this ASUS EN7600GT impressed me with its Green colour design. I n terms of packaging, it also threw in one of the hottest games 'King Kong'.Overclocking wise, we tried to overclock the card beyond the 610MHz mark but we only managed to get it stable at 610MHz with GDDR3 running at 800MHz. Compared to the X1800 GTO which we o/c from 500->580, 560->610 does not seem much, only a 50MHz increment. The scores are also pretty good at defaults and o/c comparable to the X1800 GTO. Just like the 6600 series of cards, the 7600GT do not require additional power connector for running in Single or SLI mode. That is really a plus as ATi cards require higher power especially for CrossFire. With the latest drivers installed, Purevideo is enabled and you can catch your WMVHD or H.264 video clips by offloading the CPU. ATi's X1K series also can playback H.264 but there is no WMVHD acceleration. NV card just lacks a competiting product to ATi's AVIVO converter which allows video compression and conversion. In our test, the card ran smoothly with no major issues encountered. The performance of the card is comparable to the X1800 GTO with some wins and lose in some benchmarks. When purchasing a card, it will all come down to pricing and packaging. I would say the ASUS EN7600GT is a strategic product with good pricing.
