Benchmarks

CPU FSB is still a valid and important criteria when judging systems performance. We measured the CPU FSB and documented it as below in 4 different boards and noticed the CPU CLK. As it is a Conroe X6800, the default FSB is rated at 266MHz. As shown below, the two boards runs at different speeds. abit ip35 pro is at 266.0MHz while the ASRock 4Core133-eSATA2 is slightly lower at 265.8.

Sandra XI tests

It is very clear that the the results of both boards are very close to each other. In fact, we are surprised that in Arithmetic tests, the ASRock 4Core1333-eSATA2 took the lead. Another thing we noticed is that the disk access on the ICH7R seems to be slower than the ICH9R on the IP35 Pro. The Drive index is 45 vs 47 and random access is 10 vs 8 as shown in the chart below.
