Package & Installation

The VideoMate E500 comes with all the necessary cables and installation software. The package comprises of the E500 TV Card, Startup Guide, Remote with Battery, Installation CD (uled DVD Movie Factory for E500), IR receiver, 5 in 1 cable (E500), I type to F type converter (RF antenna use), FM Antenna, a Power up patch cable and a low-profile bracket.

Installating the card is a breeze. Shut down the system, insert the TV card to the empty PCIe x1 slot on the mainboard. The complication starts here. You need to unplug the ATX power switch cable from the mainboard and connect it to the E500 JS1 connector. Now connect the patch cable provided tothe power switch connector on the mainboard. The other end of the patch cable goes to JS2 of the E500. If you don't wish to use Power Up scheduling from indows Shut down state, this step can be skipped. You can still use scheduled recording from Standby mode or powered on state.

Once that is done, power up the PC and insert the CD and install the software provided. Once that is done, you can scan for all TV channels it can receive at your location through your RF antenna.
