Kingston Memory modules
At the show, we interviewed Mr Yang and he shared with us the future of DDR3. DDR3 has a prefetch buffer of 8 bits instead of 4 bits on DDR2. Voltage level is at 1.5v instead of 1.7v.DDR3 also uses ASR(Automatic self-refresh) to reduce the temperature. The manufacturing process is 0.07um instead of 0.11um on the DDR2.
Kingston also launched a low latency DDR2-800 module at the show. The Ultra Low latency HyperX DDR2-800 KHX6400D2xx/XX : PC2-6400 800MHz settings at CL3-3-3-10@2.3-2.35v.
