EPoX EP-AP68P/G Mainboard Review
Benchmarks - 3DMark2005/2006 The AMD 690G board we reference shall be the ASUS M2A-VM has it is based on the newer Catalyst 7.3 driver. It scored 1071. As for the EPoX EP-A68P/G board, it scored only 812 points, this is with the graphics driver 100.85 that comes with this sample. We suspect newer drivers might be able to do better but to reach the 1000 mark is not quite possible. As for the earlier 6100 boards, the ASRock AlivenF4G-DVI scored 694 which falls behind the MCP 68 and AMD 690G boards. In 3Dmark06, all the AMD 690G board scores within 303-314 points. The EPoX EP-AT690P/G seems to be on par with the AMD 690G series with a score of 303 points. Slightly lower but it is near there. The results shows that integrated graphics are not really meant for 3D demanding games. In fact, in the next few pages, we will skip all tests of 3D games using the integrated graphics as all of them will not gartner even 5 fps in games like Riddick, DOOM3 in high resolutions.
