EP-AT690G Pro Integrated graphics mainboard (AMD 690G) Review Intro 1/5Bluetooth 11 Jan 2007

Introduction It has been a long wait for the 690G based
boards to appear. Today, we are fortunate to be able to preview the EPoX's 690G
solution. As you know, AMD 690G chipset was formerly
known as ATi RS690 and was slated to be available by December 2006. It could be
due to the acquisition that it was delayed until late February 2007. The north bridge uses the AMD 690G and it is
paired up with the ATi SB600 south bridge. It comes with an integrated Radeon
X700-based DirectX 9.0 compliant 2D/3D graphics processor clock at 400MHz,
Maximum DAC frequency of 400 MHz Resolution up to 2560x1600 (Under condition),
refresh rate up to 85MHz. It can support multiple Display configuration: CRT+
DVI-D on rear panel , Frame buffer option from 32MB to 256MB. The chipset also
supports ATi’s innovative AVIVO display architecture which gives you excellent
display quality. The mainboard also comes with 1 VGA, 1 DVI and
1 PCIex16 for graphics. It also supports HDA, 10 USB 2.0, 1 IDE channel, 4
SATAII with RAID, GbE. The BIOS also has lots of options for the tweakers. Other features includes Keyboard Power ON,
Wake-On-LAN by PME, EZ-Button for convenient power-on, Thermal Stick (Cable for
option), Ghost BIOS for BIOS recovery and CPU Over Heat protect. The Boot up
screen will also give you a summary of the temperature and voltages of the
various components of the mainboard.
