Last year, we reviewed the portable 2.5" VIZO Opera. It is quite a neat piece of playback device for my DVD, DIVX files as it is small and portable. There are some shortcomings about this device but it is still very impressive.

In this article, we will take a look at the latest device from VIZO, the Milano. The VIZO Milano MIP-100 is a 3.5" HDD enclose and multimedia player 2 in 1 device. This device based on the SIGMA CHIPSET can support full DVD  IFO & ISO file format and supports upscaling of Video to 1080i, which was absent from the Opera player. It can store and playback Movies, Photos, Music or used as an external storage device.

In terms of capacity, it supports hard disks with up to 500GB capacity, which is enough to save 500 films, exceed 150,000 MP3 music, or 1,000,000 pieces high distinctive digital photos. With all-in-one design and easy-to-use wizard interface, you can enjoy movie, photo and music with a touch the remote control, moreover, back up and transfer your data storage for your needs.

The device supports audio output format of Digital AC3, 5.1ch, surround sound or stereo. Video output can be in component video in 480p, 720p or 1080i. This is especially useful for large screen LCDs. Composite video using RCA cables can be used as well if you tv doesn't support component in.
