Setup options
Once we are done with the installation, we can plug in the
cables and power on the device. For the first time, depending on you are using
component video or composite video, you might get some bluish screens. That is
not a faulty unit. that is because the factory default sets it to Composite and
not Component video. Pushing on the Spanner icon on the front of the enclosure
brings us direct into the set up page. over here we can set up the video
options. In our case, we hook up our 42" LCD TV using the component video
provided. We set the screen to YPbPR/1080i. After saving the option, the
screen is as shown below. In this screen, you can set up the TV Type , brightness,
contrast, saturation, calibration etc
As you can see from the screen below. The Box is actually
sending video signals to the LCD TV screen as 1920x1080i 60Hz. The LCD TV shows
that it is a compoent video in with a SIZE of 16:9 aspect ratio.
