Hybrid CrossFire, 3Dmark05 and 3Dmark06 benchmark of ASRock A780FullDisplayPort  AMD 780G+SB700 mainboard

Benchmarks - 3Dmark2005/3DMark2006

In this test, we run the board in default mode and oc the IGP to see how far 3D performance can be pushed. The default GPU clk is 500MHz. We managed to get the board to post up to 830MHz. It was very unstable at that frequency. We finally ended up with 700MHz for a stable o/c of the GPU CLK. We would expect it to go higher if we could add more voltage to the North bridge. Unfortunately, there is no such option available in the BIOS.

At default, it scored 2500 marks. This score is slightly better than the J&W and Jetway board we tested before. The Gigabyte seems to do slightly better due to it's slightly overclocked CPU speed at 200.9MHz.

We also tested Hybrid CrossFire using a GeCube Radeon 2400XT graphics card. It scored 3831 for 3DMark05. It gave a 53% boost in 3D speed.

To enable Hybrid CrossFire, the system must be booted up with the Surround Video option enabled.

In 3Dmark06, the results at default is 1166 marks. This score is inline with the J&W and Jetway boards tested. The Gigabyte scored 1171, which is 5 points higher largely due to the overclocked CPU speed at 200.9MHz.

We also tested Hybrid CrossFire using a GeCube Radeon 2400XT graphics card. It scored 2124 for 3DMark06. It boosted the 3D performance by 82%.
