to ASRock G43Twins-FullHD Inlel G43+ICH10 mainboard
Introduction
You have heard about Intel G45, Intel G43. Both are integrated video supporting
the Intel LGA775 processors. Although it differs by a digit, there is something
different between the two integrated chipsets.
Basically, there are some differences between the two. For example the ASRock
G43-FullHD does not support FSB1600 processors. The highest processor supported
is FSB1333. Secondly, the internal Graphics of G43 is X4500, and G45 is X4500HD.
The major difference is with or without full hardware decode acceleration of
MPEG2, VC1 and AVC. It means G43 needs more CPU power to decode. Thirdly, the
GPU clock in G43 is 667MHz while in G45, it is 800MHz.
The G43Twins-FullHD supports the LGA 775 for FSB1333/1066/800MHz CPUs
Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme / Core™ 2 Quad / Core™ 2 Duo / Pentium® Dual Core /
Celeron® Dual Core / Celeron®, supporting Penryn Quad Core Yorkfield and Dual
Core Wolfdale processors. It has solid caps for CPU power and it is powered by
Intel® G43 + ICH10 Chipsets. This board supports both Dual Channel DDR3 1066/800
(2 x DIMM slots) with max. capacity up to 4GB and Dual Channel DDR2 1066/800/667
(2 x DIMM slots) with max. capacity up to 8GB.
For the integrated graphics, it is equipped with Intel® Graphics Media
Accelerator X4500, Pixel Shader 4.0, DirectX 10, Max. shared memory 352MB. It
also has a 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot (green @ x16 mode) for external graphics
card. There are three VGA Output options: D-Sub, DVI-D and DisplayPort
with ASRock DVI_DisplayPort Card and it supports HDCP function with ASRock
DVI_DisplayPort Card for Full HD 1080p Blu-ray (BD) / HD-DVD playback with
ASRock DVI_DisplayPort Card
In terms of expansion, it has 6 x SATAII 3.0 Gb/s connectors, support NCQ, AHCI
and Hot Plug functions, a PCIE Gigabit LAN 10/100/1000 Mb/s. It also has a
7.1 CH Windows® Vista™ Premium Level HD Audio (ALC888 Audio Codec), 1 x
WiFi/E header.
In terms of overclocking, it supports ASRock OC Tuner, I. O. T. (Intelligent
Overclocking Technology). Other features include Smart BIOS, Energy Saving
Design.
