3Dmark05 and 3Dmark06 benchmarks of ASUS P5Q-E Intel P45 Mainboard review
Bluetooth 7 June 2008

Benchmarks - 3Dmark2005/3DMark2006

Paired with a Vvikoo 9600GT Turbo on board using QX9770, the mainboard is tested for it's performance in 3DMark05 and 3DMark06.

With the latest BIOS we received from ASUS, we began our graphics performance test on this board.  Running the same Vvikoo 9600GT turbo card on it gave us a score of only 18841. That is not a bad score after all.

The ASUS Strike II Extreme based on the nForce 790i chipset only scored 18449 while the other two boards with 650i and 680i seems to do slightly better.

In the charts, you would also find the results of SLI performance on SLI capable boards. The test was done with a ECS 9600GT with Accelero S2 we reviewed before to test for SLI performance.

In 3Dmark06, the ASUS P5Q-E scored 11948. This score is  slightly better than the rest of the boards tested so far. If compared to the Gigabyte P35T-DQ6 using the P35 chipset, we can see that PCIe Gen 2 chipset P45 gives a performance boost of around 2.8%.
