Sony Ericsson showcase XPERIA X1 at Press Conference

Introduction

If you have been following the mobile trend, touch interface seems to be the in thing these days. From the LG Chocolate to iPhone to the Samsung Omnia, the emphasis is all on touch screen interface.

Sony Ericsson also has it's secret weapon, the XPERIA X1 which integrates a 3" touch screen  interface + a QWERTY keyboard. With Windows Mobile as the Operating System, it acts as a all in one equipment for all your mobile computing and entertainment needs.

The X1 has made access to the phone much easier than before. The X1 comes with a optical joystick navigation. Slide your thumb across the optical joystick and maneuver your way through the various menus.

In addition, the X1 comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera with video recording. The camera can also do pin point focus and auto focus. Surf at high speeds with it's HSDPA connectivity and subscribe to RSS feeds to read on the go.  You can also  customise your home screen to your own liking.

For entertainment, there are 3D games, video streaming, RDS radio. You can even watch Divx clips on it.

Finding your way around the concrete jungle isn't that much of an issue anymore as the phone supports aGPS. For the busy executives, there us USB support on this device, it allows you to sync your contacts, messages with Exchange ActiveSync.
