MID-150
Last week, we interviewed Universal abit and were told that they
will not give up mainboard as their main business. In fact, they're venturing
and expanding their scope into other IT areas including MIDs.
The MID-150 measures 165x92x20 (WxLxH)mm and weighs under 250g. It
is power by Intel Menlow 1.1GHz or higher speed processors.
This wireless champion can connect wirelessly using various modes. The first
being Wifi 802.11b/g. It can be upgrade to Wimax with add on express card. The
add on express slot can also be used with a DVB-T/H tv tuner for receiving
digital broadcasts. The device also comes with Bluetooth v2.0.
It will be equipped with 512MB and SSD of 2G - 8GB (18G in Q2 09).
It will have a 4.8" Transmissive TFT-LCD with touch screen panel of resolution
800x400 @ 262K colours.
Input wise, there is a full QWERTY touch screen. It also comes with a
1.3/2mpixel camera for video confierence.
The basic OS is a Linux variant and will operate on std battery pack of 2200mAH
or Extended Battery of 4400mAH.
