The mainboard
The mainboard is a mini-DTX form factor that measures
200x170mm. On the board itself, we can see the 1 PCIe x1 and 1 PCI slolt. The
VIA audio codec is right behind. Next to the PCI slot is the Intel ICH7 south
bridge and the north bridge Intel 945GC sits next to it with a silver heatsink
attached. On the right most is the processor, a black heatsink is attached to
the processor.
Below it is 2 DDR2 slots supporting up to DDR2-533. There are also
2 SATA II ports and 1 IDE supported by the ICH7. The power connector is a 24
pin.
The backplane of the board shows the PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse ports. 1 COM, 1
D-SUB, 4 USB, 1 Fast Ethernet and 6 ch audio ports.
