Benchmarks

3DMark05

The ECS 9500GT graphics card is tested at it's default clock 550/800 and at overclock speed of 680/830 for GPU Core/Mem Clk.

Using the intel QX9770 paired up with 2 GB Kingston DDR2-1100 modules running at DDR2-800 CAS 5,5,5,18,2T, the card is tested with 3Dmark 05,06 and vantage. The card is compared to the ECS 8600GTS graphics card we tested last year. Both cards were running off the ASRock P45R2000-WiFi board with optimal settings enabled.

In 3DMark05, The ECS 9500GT scored 12276 marks and 13656 when overclocked. Comparing that to the 8600GTS, the original GPU CLK at 550MHz is definitely no match for the 8600GTS. When it is o/c to 680MHz using nTune, the performance jumped to 13656, a 5% boost. The o/c card performs way better than the 8600GTS.

3DMark06

The same test is done using 3Dmark06 as the benchmark. At defaults, the 9500GT scored 6289. This is 600 marks below that of the ECS 8600GTS card. When o/c to 680MHz and 830MHz for Core and Memory, the performance boosted to 7156 marks. A 13% jump is recorded. This score of 7156 already overtook the 8600GTS at 6809 tested on the same board.

In 3Dmark vantage, the score of 9500GT is 2108 at factory defaults, when overclocked, it jumped to 2476 marks, a 6.6% increase. The ECS 8600GTS at default scored only 2322. Thus, an overclocked 9500GT could easily displace the 8600GTS.
