Benchmarks

To give you an idea how the Intel latest integrated chipset Intel G45 performs against the AMD integrated chipset 790GX, we will compare it head to head with the AMD platform, but based on a different processor running different speeds.

For the Gigabyte GA-EG45M-DS2H, it is tested with a QX9770 with 2GB DDR2-1066 modules. The ram timings are C5,7-7-24,2T. Windows Experience Index scored 4.2.

For the Gigabyte 790GX board, it is tested with a AMD Phenom 9550 running a pair of DDR2-1066 modules. The ram timings are C5,7-7-24,2T. The test is done using the on board UMA at default. On board UMA memory runs at 533Mhz. e.g. 500/533. Sideport disabled. Windows Experience Index = 3.5.
