Mainboard Layout of
Gigabyte GA-EG45M-DS2H Intel G45+ICH10R mainboard Gallery The board comes with a VRD 11.1 voltage design. It has 2 PCI and 1 PCIe x16 (electrically at PCIe x 4) and a 1 PCIe x1. Realtek and GbE and 8 ch audio codec are sighted on board. Both north and south bridges are cooled passively with heatsink attached. The board supports four 240-pin unbuffered non-ECC DDR II SDRAM DIMM sockets with up to 16GB of memory can be installed on board. It supports up to DDR2-1066 memory. On the right most corner of the board next to the DIMM slots is the power phase LED. The south bridge ICH10R supports 12 USB ports & 6 SATA II ports. We see five on board and one is at the rear as eSATA. The ICH10R supports RAID 0,1,5,10. The iTEIT8213 supports 1 IDE connector supporting ATA-133/100/66/33 connecting up to 2 IDE devices. There is also a Ti TSB43Ab23 chip for supporting up to 2 IEEE 1394a ports (1 on back panel and the other via bracket).
At the rear panel are PS/2 keyboard connector. There is no PS/2 Mouse connector. In replacement is 2 USB ports. Next to it is D-SUB, DVI and HDMI port. To the right is the S/PDIF digital out followed by GbE, 5 USB, 1 x 1394 and 1 eSATA and 8 ch HDA audio ports.
