3Dmark05, 3DMark06 and 3Dmark Vantage benchmarks of Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 Intel X58 Mainboard for Nehalem Core i7 940

Benchmarks - 3Dmark2005/3DMark2006/3Dmark Vantage

Paired with two pieces of AMD Radeon HD 4850 running in Single and CrossFire mode with Cat 8.6+patch. we tested out the board in a single and Dual 8x cross fire configuration.

In 3Dmark05, a standalone card score 20185, that is at least 100+ points higher than using a Intel QX9770 running at 3.2GHz. That is 6% faster if we compared to the X48 board (19022).

In CrossFire, it scored 23835 while the ASRock X48 scored 21530. It leads by 10%.

In 3Dmark06, single card performance of 13183, that is not really that far off from the QX9770 + P45 or X48. That is less than 1% difference. In CrossFire mode, it scored 18808 while the X48 scored 17065. The Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 with Intel Core i7 940 (2.93GHz) leads by 10% in performance.

In 3DMark vantage, the score for the Performance is 7766 and 13043 in CrossFire. As compared to the X48 board with scores of 7155 and 11712 (CF), the X58 board with Intel Core i7 940 is 8% and 11% faster than the X48 board with QX9770.
