The Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 comes with 3 full length PCIe 2.0 slots which works in both 3 way SLI or CrossFire mode. The orange slot operates in PCIe x8 while the blue slots works in PCIe x16 mode. The shorter orange coloured open ended PCIe slot works in PCIe x4 mode. There are 2 PCI slots and another PCIe x1 slot right next the the IOH (at the centre of the board). Behind the PCIe slots are the audio codec and dual GbE controllers.

The LGA1366 socket is surrounded by passively cooled mosfets and IOH. The large heatpipe also interconnects to the South bridge ICH10R which helps to cool down the south bridge. Just around the corner is the 1394 controller. Underneath the Ultra Durable 3 heatpipe are 2 Jmicron chips that controls the extra purplish coloured SATAII ports.

To the right bottom corner of the mainboard are 3 channels of DDR3-1066/1333 (6 DIMMS slots). Near the right hand corner of the board is the Power Switch and the DES LED allows

The back panel consists of PS/2 mouse/keyboard, Coaxial and Digital S/PDIF, 1 1394, 8 USB, 2GbE, 7.1ch audio ports. eSATA ports can be attach through the bracket provided.
