to Gigabyte GA-MA790GP-DS4H AMD 790GX+SB750 mainboard
Introduction
Early this year, we saw the wide acceptance of the IGP board from AMD, the 780G.
There were lots of speculations of the 780D or the 790GX chipset. Today, we take
a look at this new board based on this new north bridge the AMD 790GX. It is
paired up with a newer south bridge SB750 which supports SATA II RAID 0,1,0+1,5.
The Gigabyte GA-MA790GP-DS4H enhances on the 780G as it now officially supports
the CrossFire X in Dual 8x configuration. Just like the 780G, it supports
integrated DX10 UMA and a 128MB sideport using GDDR3 running at 667MHz. The 2
PCIe 2.0 graphics interface with ATI Hybrid Graphics™ support. There are
also 6 SATA
3Gb/s & RAID 1, 0, 0+1, 5 and 12 USB ports.
This board comes with the capability to display outstanding quality and playing
back of HD contents with the best audio capability of the Realtek ALC 889A
codec. The Realtek ALC 889A audio codec with DTS Connect support, features 106
dB Signal to Noise ratio and enables Blu-ray and HD DVD high quality Full rate
Lossless Audio playback. The 790GX also playback 1080p with ease making it an
ideal solution for a HD playback workstation.
For overclockers, there are options for you to adjust the multiplier, cpu clk,
ram timings, NB, SB voltages and also the GPU CLK.
