Memory Bandwidth test of Kingston HyperX KHX14400D3K2/2GN DDR3-1800 (2x1GB) Review @ OCWORKBENCH
Bluetooth 21 May 2008

Benchmarks

In the first test, we check out the properties of the modules and how they perform in Sandra XII benchmarks with a QX9770 Processor using the module in SLI enabled mode 0% OC, MAX OC and Disabled mode. We also cross reference the results with the original KHX14400D3K2/2G @ DDR3-1600 running 1:2

If you notice, the benchmark scores are quite close to one another. We also noticed something, that is when the memory runs at DDR3-1600, it seems to do a bit better in games but bandwidth wise, it loses to the modules running at DDR3-1800.

In fact, our general observation is that, if you run these two modules at DDR3-1600, you wouldn't lose too much performance other than a better memory bandwidth which remains untapped.
