Mainboard Layout of
SUPoX AK790+GTR AMD 790GX+SB750 mainboard Gallery 1 SUPOX AK790+GTR is based on the pair of chipsets AMD 790GX and SB750. As we can see, both chipsets are put close together near the south bridge. A heatpipe design Q-Cool is used to cool the two chipsets. At the top left, you would see there are 2 PCI, 1 PCIe x1, 2 PCIe x 16 slots for CrossFire. The AMD 790GX also comes with a Radeon HD 3300 IGP which can run in a Hybrid CrossFire with supported graphics card like the 2400pro. To the right is a orange esata port for connecting to one of the ports at the left bottom of the mainboard. To it's right is the 4 DIMM slots and AMD AM2+ CPU Socket. The board uses a 5 phase design. At the centre of the board is a group of 8 jumpers for setting the PCIe bus speed. To the left bottom of the PCB, we can see the power, reset, clrcmos switches, there is also a debug led. There are 6 SATAII ports. To it's right is the heatpipe covering both chipsets. The yellow connector is the IDE connector and next to it is a pin out for unique feature, a DIY made SSD connector using CF. The mainboard looks would probably look better if the golden heatpipe is paired with a black PCB.
At the rear panel are PS/2 mouse and keyboard connector. There is a Coaxial S/PDIF, HDMI, D-SUB, DVI-D, 4 USB, 1 eSATA, 1 GbE and 7.1 ch audio ports.
