I was surprised when I see this mainboard. I have seen many ASRock boards before but this board does look unique.

From the top left hand corner, we see the 3 PCI slots in between 4 PCIe 2.0 full length slots. The orange slots either works in PCIe x8 mode or N/A while the blue PCIe slots are either in a PCIe x8 / x16 mode depending on the combinations installed for CrossFire or SLI. Behind the slots are the audio codec, GbE controller. To it's right is the heatpipe connecting the Mosfets and the attached to the X58 north bridge. Within the boundary is the LGA1366 socket for the processor.

To the right bottom corner of the board, we see the memory slots. There are 6 dimm slots that supports Triple Channel DDR3 2000(OC)/1866(OC)/1600(OC)/1333(OC)/1066 (6 x DIMM slots), non-ECC, un-buffered memory, Max. capacity up to 24GB and DDR3 ECC, buffered memory with Intel® Workstation 1S Xeon® processors 3500 series, XMP is also supported. Right below the slot are USB external connectors and the 24 pin power connector.

To it's left is the VIA 1394 controller, Intel ICH10R south bridge supporting RAID 0,1,10,5 by ICH10R with NCQ, AHCI and hotplug. There are 2 SATA II ports that can be used for eSATA connectors.

The back panel consists of PS/2 mouse/keyboard, Coaxial and Digital S/PDIF, 1 1394, 1 esata, 6 USB, 2 GbE and 7.1 ch audio ports.
