Benchmarks

3DMark06

With 3DMark06, the benchmark is first tested at it's default core and memory speed with a AM3 X3 710 processor running on the ASRock A780GMH/128M Mainboard.

The score line shows a pretty good score of 13296. With a similarly configured system running the ASUS EAH4870X2 TOP, it scored 14459 (8% faster). Looks like the single core 4890 card isn't that bad after all. With the card overclocked to 1GHz/1.1GHz (with GPU voltage bumped up to 1.4v), the card scored 13408 marks. With 16xAF+8xAA applied, the score goes down to 12574.

3DMark Vantage Performance mode

The difference in scores for the card is quite substantial in this test. At default, it scored 8751. when we o/c it to 1GHz/1.1GHz, it shot up to 9052, a 3% improvement. When 16xAF+8xAA is applied, the score dipped to 7619.

Using the same board with the ASUS EAH4870X2, we scored P10465 for this test (19% faster than the Radeon HD 4890).
