Computex will showcase Gigabyte 790GX+SB750 /Sideport (GA-MA79GP-DS4H) at Computex Taipei 2008. Here are some pictures of it.

The 790GX integrates a graphics core HD3300. This is slightly better than the HD3200 on the 780G boards. The board also incorporates side port memory which uses the ELPIDA memory for onboard buffer.

Other than a heatpipe design, the board uses a newer south bridge SB750. The board also uses a 4+1 phase power design.

It is said that AMD 790G IGP can do CrossFire (Dual 8x) and Hybrid CrossFire at the same time. There is no confirmation about this yet but we don't think doing a Hybrid CrossFire at the same time with CrossFire will bring much improvement in performance.

I hope they come out with a version that has dual gigabit lan. It's pretty frustrating seeing all the Intel boards that have dual gigabit lan, and even quad gigabit lan, when there are MAYBE two boards available with it for AMD. It is pretty amazing to me also to see boards that have only four USB ports on the back. The vast majority of peripherals connect via USB, so eight ports should really be the minimum.

Maybe, but do you really want them on the back? It looks like a very interesting MB to me. Dual Gigabit LAN isn't that big a deal to me; I don't need that kind of bandwidth on my LAN, and don't have the kind of internet access speed that could make use of it. But if anyone will do it on an AMD board, it'll be Gigabyte or Asus.

Guys do feel free to comment on the boards as their tech and pr do come by to check out user's feedback on their products.
