Gigabyte GA-MA69G-S3H is first AMD 690G with CrossFire and HDMI/HDCP support mainboard.
We have reviewed many AMD 690G boards. Most of them uses DVI output while some uses HDMI. In fact, there are only 3 models out there that uses the HDMI interface with HDCP + audio support.
This time round, we take a look at Gigabyte GA-MA69G-S3H. This board is based on the AMD 690G+SB600 chipsets. What makes this board different from the rest is that it uses a full ATX design. It comes with 1 PCIe x16 slot and 1 PCIe x 4 endless slot. Endless slot means that the the PCIe x4 slot can be used with any full length PCIe card but runs at 4x speed. On board is also 3 x PCIex1 slots. The board also uses Realtek ALC889A codec and TV-out connector. At the back of the board it has connectors for HDMI, S/PDIF, D-SUB, 1394a, GbE LAN and 8 ch audio ports.
The board supports ATI AVIVO for sharper and lower CPU utilisation when playing back videos.With ATi surroudview function, the board can be connected to 2 displays using the onboard D-SUB+ HDMI port. 4 more displays can be connected using two PCIe graphics card.
