Talking ATi R700 series Wekiva will be PCIe 2.0 compliant

ATi's next generation graphics card is code named "Wekiva", supposedly the name of a national park in Florida.

It is said that this upcoming card will have a higher clk speed and memory bandwidth. On top of that, it will support PCIe 2.0 to take advantage of the new RD790 chipset or the Intel P35, X38 which already supports PCIe 2.0 right now.

So far, there is no official information about its availability. On the other hand, we have already mentioned that NVIDIA has plans to introduce current GPUs with PCIe 2.0 spec. You can read our news section in the forum for more.
