To take full advantage of the speed, a board support the new HT3 is recommended. ECS sees this an opportunity to revive the glory of old K7S5A with its latest board the ECS A770M-A (formerly known as RX780M-A) based on the new chipset AMD 770 + SB600.
This board supports the AM2+ socket processor and current processors. It can deliver up to HT 5200MT/s. It has 4 DIMM slots supporting up to 32GB of Dual Channel DDR2-1066.
