(2008/01/23, Taipei) After wooing gamers with the release of the power-packed HD3850 and HD3870 series at the end of 2007, GECUBE has now revealed to waiting gamers and the media its line-up for Spring 2008: the next-generation heavy weight HD3870X2, the HD3400 and the HD3600. This means GECUBE is now offering for the first time the full range of HD3000 graphics cards and bringing gamers an all-new dual-core experience. The HD3870X2, HD3400 and HD3600 are all based on the AMD 55nm chip process and use the PCI-Express 2.0 interface to deliver the optimal graphics performance; The GECUBE HD3870X2 even combines the latest dual-core technology with ATI CrossFireX™ and the enhanced DirectX10.1/SM4.1 standard to achieve even more realistic visual effects. The GECUBE HD3870X2 series is the new performer from AMD’s new HD3000 series. Equipped with the ATI Radeon™ R680 (55nm) graphics chip, it uses the latest dual core technology, 1GB of high-speed GDDR3 memory and massive 512-bit memory bandwidth to unleash the full potential of the graphics card for the best visual effects. Thanks to the use of the PCI-Express 2.0 interface, complete support for the enhanced DirectX10.1/SM4.1 standard and integration of the latest ATI CrossFireX™ technology, the GECUBE HD3870X2 not only delivers the most immersive 3D gaming effects but can also easily overclock its core and memory frequencies to 850MHz/960*2MHz.

At the same time, GECUBE’s proprietary X-Turbo Dual fan solution uses dual ultra-quiet 7.5cm fans and Quad Heatpipes to deliver a superb cooling performance that keeps the HD3870X2 running cool and quiet even at overclocked speeds. The GECUBE HD3870X2 also comes with a built-in HDMI and 5.1 surround sound that supports HDCP, HD DVD, Blu-Ray and the latest UVD (Unified Video Decoder) technology. The GECUBE HD3600 series is equipped with the ATI Radeon™ RV635 chip, also based on the 55nm process. The card comes with an exclusive offer of 256MB and 512MB, GDDR3 memory that together with PCI-Express 2.0 and DirectX™ 10.1 support allows the core and memory frequencies to be easily overclocked to 800MHz/1.0*2GHz. This makes GECUBE HD3600 an outstanding performer among its peers and the natural choice for intermediate and high-end enthusiasts. The GECUBE HD3400 series is designed for the mainstream and performance gaming market. It uses the ATI Radeon™ RV620 chip manufactured using the 55nm chip technology and is equipped with 512MB of DDR2 memory so even new gamers can experience excellent video and gaming quality. Both the GECUBE HD3400 and HD3600 come with built-in HDMI and 5.1 surround sound. HDCP, HD DVD and Blu-Ray are also supported so users can benefit from the latest high-definition media.

The GECUBE HD3000 series includes the first ATI cards to support the latest DirectX 10.1 technology. It offers 32-bit floating point filtering support and breaks new ground in illumination quality with the use of Global Illumination technology, and High Dynamic Range (HDR) illumination are also boosted.
