GeForce GTX 280 Review leaked; breaks NDA

Although GeForce GTX 200 series is still under NDA. Magazines have never abide by any NDA. Magazine "PC Gamers" published a set of results and a brief review of the new card.

GeForce GTX 280 has 1.4 billion transistors. it comes with 1GB of GDDR3. The card is pretty long, so you would need a big case to put that in.

Using a QX9650, the 3dmark06 score is close it copares to a Dual GPU GeForce 9800 GX2 and Radeon 3870 X2. It is said that GTX 280 stomped the two cards in almost every benchmark at 1600x1200 and particularly at 1920x1200. It achieved 15 fps at 2560x1600 with Crysis in high settings.

The graphics card requires 25W at idle. It's peak power consumption tops out at about 235W.
