HD4850 OC'ed to 750/1100
i did the pencil mod on my 4850 this weekend, and the result is very pleasing. the pencil mod is not as trivia as what i thought at first. it seems like the pencil i am using has inconsistent amount of lead. after trying for couples of times, i managed to increase the gpu core to 1.3v using a 4H pencil. with AMD GPU Clock Tool, i am able to pass the 700MHz barrier and test the limit of this card.
i've done a single run of 3dmark06 so far, so here it is - 9812

my cpu is pretty weak at this point and i believe that's the main reason for the low score i have.

Wow, congratulations! Amazing overclock from the default 625Mhz! Now you have a 4870 card! They come with the 750Mhz default clock

It sounds just like messing with the card core chip, and forcing the card to falsely believe that the chip type is a different, higher voltage one... right? Hence giving it more juice and - voila - better overclock is granted
