AM2 processor on AM3 socket board is possible

AM3 socket can support both AM2+ processor. SO we will be seeing a board that can support both DDR2 or DDR3 module.

So, if you use a AM2+ processor, you use DDR2 memory. If you use AM3 processor, you have to pair it up with DDR3.

AM3 processor and boards will be available in Q1 2009.
