Talking Intel Core i7 attains memory bandwidth of 14250MB/s

In the traditional X48 platform, we usually see memory bandwidth as an indicator for performance. On the Intel Core i7, the new architecture features a Triple Channel architecture. In a test with SiSoft Sandra 2009, it attain a memory bandwidth of 14250MB/s for both Int Buffered and Float Buffered. CPU is Core i7 940 clocked at 2.93GHz with 3GB DDR3 memory running at C5,6,6,17,2T.

This score is at least 2.3X higher than traditional X48 systems running dual channel memory with an average score of ~6000MB/s.
