According to what we gathered, AMD is going to launch the AM3 processors as early as Feb this year. Currently, information is still sketchy. It was mentioned before that there will be models 925, 945, both are DDR3 variants of the models 920 and 940. The new processors will come just in time and can be paired up with existing AM2+ boards to run with DDR2 or new AM3 boards to run with DDR3 memory as it has two memory controllers within.
