I am not very active in the other sectors, if you guys are familiar with other users in the other popular sectors. Feel free to post them a link to this thread so that we can get more active users.
At our current rate, it is easy to get to about position 30. To get to 20, we will need more people...

I think one of our big hitters must have left us. We are down about 2 million structures and have fallen back to 52nd place. :(

It's raggie. He seems to come and go. You're right about the rankings astute, if you look at our weekly total and take that as current level of production, we should eventually power into the 20's but cracking the top 20 won't be possible without more members (or at least getting the people that signed up actually participate.)
Although it might be considered cheating, if we somehow joined up with ******* or something, that is going to be the only way to crack the top 20 without more members. They're in a similar boat as we are in that they're in 14th now but with their level of production they're going to get pushed out of the top 20.
The thing I really don't get is how can OCW have 10,000 registered users and only get 38 people signed up. If I'm not mistaken that's about 0.38%.
I'm sure that a big reason why is that nobody reads the chit chat sector. I don't want to tick off the mods by continually advertising it in inappropriate boards. I think an excellent way to promote it's use is to use it to benchmark your computer. Look at the bazillion posts about super pie. As a benchmark it actually sucks. But people get very excited that they're 2 seconds faster than the next guy.
Please download the GUI and post your system specs and folds per hour in the ESC forum. I've already started a thread. I may not be able to get back to my computer until this weekend but I'll post more benchmarks then.

I'm getting something weird here.
Can't connect to distributed folding through the text client or online through explorer.
First I thought it was the GUI benchmark, but I can connect to everything else just fine.
Is the distributing website down???

I had thought I was going crazy there for a while. I couldn't log on to Distributed Folding's website, I couldn't upload my structures, I couldn't log on to OCWB's forums. Everybody just decided to shut down at the same time. I was worried it might be my connection at first.

We overtook Team Russia and Compaq, and on position 47 now... next big target would be Intel (2 ranks ahead).

We are now at position 46...
OCer, why don't you post your handle here so that new members who wish to participate but too lazy to register can use the handle to fold. At the same time, if a lot of people share the same handle, we can also try to top the individual tables...
