I vote for Inno3d 7950GX2 as they are the cheapest Cards based on a reference design and all overclock the same regardless of the BIOS used.
There is not such thing as a golden sample anymore for the retail market - golden samples are provided to the reviewers and to the chosen few that will set WR's with their hardware (Sampsa and Kingpin for example).
