Default RTC Alarm Power On
I have an ASRock H77M motherboard that I am using on an HTPC. One of the things I would like to set it up for is to record TV programs via Windows Media Center. I am currently running Windows 7 Pro on the machine. It looks like WMC is able to wake up the PC from a sleep state. I would like to know if the function "RTC Alarm Power On" can start the PC from a power off state? Also can WMC use this function?

Windows 7 Control Panel > Power Options > Edit Plan Settings > Change advanced power settings > Sleep: Allow Wake Timer needs to be enabled

Set that in CP; WMC will be able to wake from sleep. Don't know about power off.
