Something strange here because Abit MArketing user at abit forums says he checked it and it doesn;t have locked AGP/PCI .. sorry Speed_Mechanic for above I see what you mean now, (noticed you were on same thread ! )
If the VIA will do it in chipset then can expect a BIOS fix maybe, if the chipset cannot do it then no way a BIOS can do anything.

Not until I know for sure about the AGP/PCI lock.
If it can be added with a BIOS release, then I might. Otherwise, I'm waiting for some NForce 3 250 board to show up here in the states other than the Chaintech.

There is definetly no lock. Here is a review link.
http://www.nickgoodall.org/kv8pro/review1.htm
I still like the review, it shows it beating the via nonpro, moreso than the nf3-250 and a lock will be just an added bonus.
For me, 220x11, over 2.4 ghz for an amd64, it will be smokin. I wouldnt need more than that anyways.

Looks like we all pray for a Bios Update :( If it is not possible to do it, Abit will have made the biggest mistake I have ever seen from them for AMD MBs

What do you have against the Chaintech? Honestly, you won't hurt my feelings... ;)

Well, the VNF version actually seems like a good board and has a very good price too. The only thing lacking is gigabit ethernet and a fan on the chipset.
The ZNF on the other hand is just a re-chipped 150 model and doesn't use the NForce SATA capability. And it is way too expensive, even though it comes with alot of goodies in the box,for a patched up old design.
