Yep, PCChips, Amptron, Shuttle and ECS I think are the same, check out their SIS730S board.
Hmm... a SIS740 board, not really a SIS735 or 745 cause it's two chips. Already out, wow. Get good graphics performance on it? Shame SIS didn't put in AGP support, oh well.
Yeah, I was wanting that AOpen uATX DDR board, but it was expensive, since it was the AMD chipset. That's why I didn't think of it.

The SiS 730 (K7-810LMR - SDRAM only) is no match for the K7-841XLR ........... believe me, I have built a system with both, and the 841 is much faster and has excellent SiS integrated graphics, but it is nice to have an AGP slot .......... so, not to worry:
I read somewhere that an SiS K7-831xx uATX mb is in the works from Amptron and/or PCChips,
............ same as the K7-841XLR but with an AGP 4X port..... I'm un-sure if it has the SiS integrated graphics or not?

Where did you get the SIS740 Amptron board from?
From SIS ref docs the SIS740 doesn't support an AGP slot, while the P4 does. Look yourself, no AGP 4x is mentioned at all. Only the K7SEM had an AGP slot from all the SIS730 boards. Same with VIA8321, all could have had AGP but none came with it, only the KM133x.

I got the Amptron K7 841XLM from a local retail vendor in Portland, OR. (they are available from several sources at PriceWatch)
The M831LM mb information is posted at the PCChips site, ..... it has the SiS-735 chipset ..... has an AGP4X slot, but no on-board graphics.
It uses either DDR or SDRAM (2-dimms each) and looks just like the K7S5A/M830LM mb ..... just shortened for the mATX format.......
I don't see any of these available for retail sale yet .....

Sorry 'bout that Doc, ........ my mind starts to wander waiting on the arrival of the CT-7SJR ........ and it's just a method of giving this thread a bump so we don't forget about it .......... ?
I frankly can't believe how slow these SiS mb's are arriving to the retail market ......... !!!
Could it be VIA, Intel, ALI (or someone) is playing some dirty pool?
We are still awaiting the SiS 745's and VIA's KT-400 is almost here!

According to Chaintech, they won't be releasing this board to the retail market at all.
There are some small quantities in France though.

Not releasing this board to the retail market!!! OH MAN! THAT STINKS ROYALLY!
I am so damn happy with my 7SID that I couldn't wait for this board to be released. It's one of the only boards featuring the 745 and 6 PCI slots, plus great stability and reliability by Chaintech. :(
