According to early tester of the 3DMark Vantage Benchmark. The MCP78 beats the AMD 780G in the new performance tests. If you remember, we have seen MCP78 performed slightly below the AMD 780G in most benchmarks (as in our ECS GF8200A review).
How did NVIDIA do that ? It is said that they have an optimised driver released just for the purpose of 3DMark Vantage. The driver is said to be ready on the 29th April, one day after the Benchmark release.
3D Mark Vantage has 2 test resolutions used for mGPU testing: 1024x768 (Entry) and 1280x1024 (Performance). In both categories, the GF8200 based board wins by almost 50% in 1280x1024 against the AMD 780G. It won by 15% when tested at 1024x768
Below is a breakdown of the score
1280x1024
GeForce 8200 = 19x
AMD 780G = 12x
1024x768
GeForce 8200 = 18xx
AMD 780G = 16xx
Stay tuned for more updates on the new benchmark in another few more hours.
