AMD releases Catalyst 7.9 (WHQL)

Previously, AMD released a patch for a game. Today, AMD officially releases the WHQL version of Catalyst 7.9. Similar to the non WHQL, it supports HD2600X2 and 2900PRO.

WHQL Catalyst 7.9 version number is 8.4.11, it supports HD 2600X2 and 2900PRO. According to the release notes, it included the following functions:

1. AVIVO VIDEO CONVERTOR 64BIT edition (run on VISTA X64).
2. Added Color Temperature Control , will run under X1000 and HD2000.
3. Performance increase : HD2000 series in FARCRY2, Call of Duty 2 , HALFLIFE2, SERIOUS SAM2. Quake 4 performance improvement for X1650 X1300!
