Default Mlais MX69 8-core MT6592 Antutu Benchmarks

According to engadget, MediaTek officially introduced the world's first true octa-core mobile processor, MT6592, and the first devices to feature it are expected to arrive as soon as end of year. This 28nm chip packs eight low-power Cortex-A7 cores, and courtesy of the Heterogeneous Multi-Processing use model on top of ARM's big.LITTLE architecture, all eight cores can operate simultaneously -- at up to between 1.7GHz and 2GHz, depending on the bin.

MediaTek pointed that Chrome can already make use of all eight cores, and likewise with some map apps, video players plus multi-window function. According to the company's figures, the MT6592 manages to beat what appears to be the quad-core Snapdragon 800 in benchmarks, power consumption (as low as 40 percent) and temperature.
In fact, we do not have to wait till year end as we have seen a list of possible devices from various less known manufacturers in China at this link.

Octa core or 8 core Android phones are coming from China. These phones powered by MediaTek MT6592 chip. Here are list of 5 upcoming ones,

Read through these 5 great 8-core Chinese phones and vote for the model you are most excited to see launch.

Zopo ZP1000

We aren’t actually 100% sure that the latest Zopo phone will be named the ZP1000, however leaked documents and the current naming strate...gy of Zopo certainly suggests it will.

For the ZP1000 we are expecting Zopo to launch an updated version of the Zopo C2 (ZP980) meaning a 5-inch 1080 display, 2GB RAM, 13 mega-pixel camera and a that powerhouse of a Mediatek MT6592 processor humming away under the body.

We can also expect the Zopo to come with Gorilla Glass display, 5 mega-pixel+ from camera, Android 4.2+ and an updated body with slightly different styling and sturdier construction.

Unlike many Chinese phones the new Zopo 8-core will be easily available internationally through one of their physical stores in Europe and their online stores.

Xiaocai 8-core

Xiaocai are one of the youngest companies on the list, but their phones and strict adherent to a Xiaomi style marketing and development program has seen them rise to fame.

This year Xiaocai launched the X9 which featured great hardware, the companies own CaiUI operating system and low price. Although the phone was generally well received there have been complaints about buggy OS and quality issues, so we hope the next generation Xiaocai will address the problems.

As for hardware we expect the new phone to keep the same 5-inch size as most current flagship phones, 2GB RAM, 13 mega-pixel rear camera and an updated version of XaiOS!

JiaYu G4 8-core

The JiaYu G4 is the phone on this list which has a 720p display, combine that with 2GB RAM and the power of an 8-core CPU and you have the makings of some serious performance.

The G4 has been on sale for months now and JiaYu seem to be finally over the initial supply chain issues which they always seem to suffer from with a new launch. An updated 8-core G4 will likely also see the improved 13 mega-pixel Sony camera found in newer Advanced phones and a new ROM.

THL Monkey King 2

The THL Monkey King 2 is the phone which wowed me when I got my hands on the mock-up device last month. Like Zopo, THL will be sticking with the 5-inch screen size but have ave wrapped the phone up in a new stylish body, part Xiaomi Mi3 part Sony Xperia.

Updates of the current Monkey King are the better materials and build, plus the ability to remove and replace the battery. There are also rumours that the THL Monkey King 2 could also launch as a 4G LTE phone, but whether this will be an 8-core or quad-core phone we don’t yet known.

TCL idol X 8-core

TCL’s Idol X is one of the best looking (and most well made) phones on this list and also one of the few which is easily available outside of China.

The current Idol X boasts 2GB RAM, quad-core processor, 13 mega-pixel rear camera and a very thin compact body. An updated version has been rumoured which will bring the 8-core MT6592 to the sleek phone!

There are also rumours of Mlais launching an 8-core phablet and larger phone makers Lenovo, ZTE, Huawei are also expected to jump on the bandwagon sooner than later too.
