If you have GSM 900/1800/1900 network,it will rnu in 2.5G mode.

Well you can get it unlocked "online" through some means. This phone is way too expensive.

well, it's only 22900 yen if I order it online, pretty cheap in my opinion, too bad they only ship to japan address.
however, I can get it without problem, but unlock it is a problem.

You must ask the locals to unlock it for you. Is the menu in English or Japanese?
