Shmeeh,

just get AMD64 instead. Boards have become cheap enough, and even the CPUs are not too expensive anymore.

Okay, got the windows 2003 server enterprise edition for the A64 installed, giving it the 4 month trial whirl.

Shoulda done my homework first... had to search around for a 3com lan driver that worked, finally found one, it is online.

They have a A64 64bit XP also for trial, but you guys said server was faster, so trying that first.

VIA Hyperion (beta) drivers for windows64 does not have a AGP driver yet, not in the package.

But if this goes well, I might have to build a serious 64 bit computer. The A64 3200+ was built on a booring day, when I had to find something to do.

I am holding on my opinion, because 64 bit is very new... nothing official out yet. But the P4 at 3.5Ghz is still the king, and my main gaming box, mainly because it gets 1400 3DMark03 scores better than the A64, but it is still overclocked heavily. I must say the A64 is very smooth in 3D games, even with the ATI 9700 Pro, and that is a definate Plus, I never would have thought a 2GHZ processor could do that. I am definately impressed. But the A64 is a folding box, so folding away I go.

Well, I had 7G in my sights, but only to see them post 11M in one day! I saw Grumpy drop to 3rd briefly, only to pull ahead again. Way to go!

This will be a interesting weekend - can I pull into range of 7G and Grumpy, or will they come up with another point dump and pull away again?

well, considering this dude wasn'ttoo smart and was gonna sell te thing for less than 10 bucks and shipping would've een no more than 30, i woulda had a steal on my hands. i would go for an a64 system, but right now, i'm looking into buy a dvd burner and a gig of ram for my main xp rig. i should have 1 or 2 more rigs going soon as soon as i get a couple of new hard drives and mainboards to put these other xps into.
