Looks an OK MB, but yes, I like the Gigabyte 760 with 64 Megs of Ram onboard. The PCI-E slot will make it nice for someone who may want a Gigabit Lan on PCI-E for video streaming box I am not sure if 1X PCI-E is enough for a Sata Raid PCI-E Card :(

Yes, some people will go ASUS no matter what. But that doesn't mean the boards don't compete.

ASRock K8Upgrade-760GX and ASUS K8S-MX share a very similiar set of features and have near-identical prices. Both are targeted mostly towards OEM's or people who need a mATX board with integrated graphics for socket 754 AMD processors.

Just posting to say this mobo is available in the USA.

For me this mobo´s specs looks good, DC-DDR and AGP/PCI-lock.
Potentional mobo for Overclocking.
I have teased SIS 755-F reference mobo and it was superb performer and stable as a rock.

Right now im running with Abit KV8-Max3 & Amd64 3200+ 2,2GHz.
KV8 is just a noisy piece of mmm.

I will post results later.

Comments are very positive.

Hi everyone from Greece.

I recently bought o K8S-MX, because I have mATX case. The board is just fine, with agp/pci lock.

I have overclocked the fsb to 250, very stable up there. But, I want more, because I know my cpu can do a lot more. Unfortunately, max setting in bios is 250. I want to try with cpufsb or similar utility, but I can't find any info for the PLL chip on the motherboard. The full clock chip part number is:

ca430758
0427
clk756J40f

It doesn't seem to be of a popular manufacturer as cypress, ics etc, and I can't find any info in Web. Anywone knowing about it; Or at least a similar pll I could choose in spufsb;

Thanks in advance.

P.S.: If anyone has stability problems with sata drives, just increase pci latency in bios - it worked with mine

Just got one of these myself. Havent had a chance to play with it yet but was wondering how everyone here using one felt about it in general.
Any feedback or comments on your experiences?
