How to remove Chatzum from Internet explorer

Whenever you do a search on the address bar, take note of the results. If it isn't returned from Google or Yahoo or Bing, chances are that you are 'infected' by ChatZum

Now, the problem is that most anti virus or anti trojan or anti spyware tools aren't able to clean the system.

Here is what i did.

I went to chatzum.com and installed the software. I only selected the add on for IE.

After installation, I rebooted and the Chatzum search still takes precedence.

Now. Uninstall chatzum software from the system.

A check on Tools->Internet Options->Search (Serch providers) on IE 9. You will now see the search CHATZUM appears in the list.

What you will need to do now is to add BING, YAHOO or GOOGLE as the search providers and remove CHATZUM from the list.

Tada, you are done. Now reboot the machine and you will no longer find that irritating Chatzum hijacking your search engine.
